Meet Steve the pink flamingo with no legs. Steve was part of the VNYL team until we convinced them to let him be a permanent part of our photo adventure. At the end of the day even if you are a legless garden flamingo, your life doesn't need to stop there!

By the way, VNYL started as a curated vinyl subscription service. They just recently opened this brick and mortar location. If you guys like vinyl make sure to stop by - they have a great music selection and the most beautiful headphones I've ever seen! The interior of the store is really great and presents a ton of great Instagram opportunities. VNYL is nested in the heart of the trendy Abbot Kinney area. Go and check them out before they are too popular.

Earth Tones Outfit At The San Francisco Botanical Garden

Wearing earth tones at the SF Botanical garden today! This outfit is super easy and comfortable.

The flats I'm wearing are Calvin Klein. Chic and slick they are my new favorite essential item! I found them at ROSS! ROSS has done miracles for my shoe collection! I almost always leave the store with few pairs! Not every ROSS store has a big shoe wear section. If you are a shoe lover explore ROSS stores in different neighborhoods and find the one that carries the most shoes and restocks often. For me Downtown San Francisco store has the best variety in SF. They have lots of shoe racks that due to the foot traffic on Market street get restocked almost daily!

The denim jacket I'm wearing is a treasure I found on Thread Up for 13 dollars! Oh my, if you have the patience to browse the site you can find amazing low budget finds that will blow your mind:)

I've always been a fan of mixing brands from different price ranges. Looking stylish is not about how much you pay or what label you wear. You can have beautiful, functional wardrobe at a steal price by being a savvy shopper.

Finding the perfect leather jacket within your budget can be your next mini adventure! And remember no matter if you find it at a thrift store, yard sale, Zara, J. Crew or Saks Fifth Avenue they are many ways to make it look stunning.Wearing it with confidence is just one of them!

You've probably seen Paul Smith's pink wall. Big, bright and wonderful - this wall is all over Pinterest and Instagram. It's especially popular among style bloggers and tourists as a back drop for a quick fab photo shoot.

The wall can be found at the Paul Smith store on Melrose Ave. Big and bright it's hard to miss. Few blocks away is another iconic LA wall - Made in LA. Maybe plan to visit both, they are worth it!

Mixing patterns is fun but a lot of people are "scared" or unsure about what really is considered a good "mix-and-match". They are some rules but most of it (for me) is a gut feeling. Basic tips...

If you want to try but don't know where to start begin with replacing your solid color top with a monochromatic pattern in the same color. Play with mixing patterns of different scale. Stay in the same color family. Mixed prints are paired well with neutrals. Most importantly: Have fun!

Today I'm mixing Gingham patterned items! The gorgeous red AQUA Charlie Check Pleated skirt with a flannel button up in black and white.

Today I'm blogging from my to-go coffee shop on Abbot Kinney - the TOMS flagship store. It's a peaceful oasis where you can grab coffee and/or shop. This place not only sells shoes and sunglasses - but they also provide a pretty amazing chill/work space. The design is so cool! A lot of wood, knits and picture frames that create a natural homey feel.

High lights of my outfit today: HM Coachella collection top. Why? I found this gem at the male section of the HM store for only $14.95 in XS. What a deal!

Pinata District Downtown LA (part 1)

Up until last week I had no idea that the Piñata District in Downtown LA existed. It's a section of downtown LA that has developed as a wholesale hub for piñata and candy. You'll find it nested in the area around East Olympic Boulevard and South Central Avenue.

The Piñata District offers tons of colorful options! Take your time hopping from one shop to the other picking through in search for your perfect piñata.

After carefully studying all the options we had we were ready! Our hearts were set on a watermelon and a pineapple piñatas. The store we shopped at is called Amazing Piñatas and most of the piñatas sell for $12 to $20. The coast is well worth it! Shooting with this kind of prop is tons of fun and almost every shot was perfect.

Btw some store owners specialize in custom piñatas. Unique shapes for bachelorette parties, birthdays and photo shoots.

After we fueled up we were ready to hit the road.

The drive on Highway One offers jaw dropping panoramas of the Pacific Coast, romantic beach towns, and rocky alcoves to discover - its a wonder that we made it to Santa Cruz on time.

After an adventurous day we finally made it to Santa Cruz and stopped at The Verve for a cup of their award winning single-origin coffee. Combined with the trendy ambiance, friendly baristas, and superb coffee - The Verve is a can't miss if you're visiting Santa Cruz.

Simple, easy days like this one - filled with careless moments of pure joy - are the ones that I cherish the most.

Oh, did I mention it was my birthday?? Did I also mention that I jumped off a plane? No?

I used to buy a lot of trendy/statement pieces which often resulted in not having anything to wear. Don't get me wrong these items are great but hard to match on daily basis.
